I see him

He’s only a child but what he carries is something far greater that no man will ever know. I see him and I see all the children of the world who were brutally mistreated. The time from then and now shows how far we’ve come but the scars are still here, as fresh as ever. He will never know that I understand him and that I’m grateful for his pain because of his pain I can appreciate the life I know.
